Hey everybody,

Yesterday our collection of free templates expanded to 30 templates, and today we expect that number to grow to at least 50. Once our template database is up to snuff we will start working on other areas of Clan-Man to give you the best experience possible.

Remember, if anyone has anything to contribute, feel free to do so. Clan-Man is an open project, and we are always looking for new people with great clan resources.

Also, if you provide a clan service or a product,I am interested in reviewing your product for free. This makes for great free promotion, so I would jump on it while I had the chance. ;)

I realize that it’s been quite awhile before we had any updates at clan man. The reason that we put the project on pause before was due to my busy schedule and a lack of help. Over the last 5 months or so, rejuvinating this website has really been on my mind, and I believe I am finally ready to do so, and in the right way.  This entire time we have been getting a decent amount of traffic from alot of different avenues, and we hope to continue that.

Over the next week or so we will be planning the direction we want to head. I can already say that we have decided to focus more on actual resources, and less on articles. We want Clan-Man to be a clan webmasters dream website, and I believe the best way to go about this is to offer great clan templates, and gaming templates for free to our users.

If anyone is out there that wants to help out in any way, or feels that they have anything to offer, feel free. This wouldn’t be a paid job for the time being but will be once the site starts to earn profit.

To our regular visitors, thank you for staying around even after all of this time. I realize that I let our audience down when I abandoned the project the first time, butI can assure you that this won’t happen again.

Starcraft clans always seemed to be the largest and most organized clans on the web. Some clans (DarkLegion, Overdosed, AH) even eclipsed the 400 member mark at points in their existance (although they are much smaller now, with their main game being a decade old.)

The community Blizzard has set up through it’s string of releases in Starcraft, Warcraft3, and World of Warcraft have created a buzzing, vibrant online community with potential for infinite growth for any gaming organization with the will and the time. Blizzard takes their fansites and clans very serious, and often will offer beta accounts to webmasters of prominent sites when their available.

With Warcraft3, their in-game support for clans was revolutionary, including ranking systems, memberlists, clan ladders and more. Keep in mind that Warcraft3 was released in 2003. Starcraft 2 will presumably be released in 2008 and will more than likely be leaps and bound beyond Warcraft 3 as far as in-game clan support. Hopefully it will feature customizable ranks and channel moderation abilities.

Beyond the technical aspect, Starcraft 2 is probably one of the most anticipated games of all time. Its launch should be huge, with many players eagerly awaiting to jump at the first clan opportunity presented to them. My recommendation would be to be completely prepared for the launch of Starcraft 2 ahead of time. Those clans who are ready for the launch will benefit the most from the surge at the launch.
